Hansen Technologies, a global provider of software and services to energy, water, and communications industries, has announced a new five-year contract with BKW, an energy and infrastructure company based in Bern, Switzerland.
As part of BKW’s Smart Meter rollout program, Hansen’s MDM will be deployed across Switzerland through a SaaS model. This agreement follows Hansen’s success with Swissgrid in May 2022.
Expanding its presence in the DACH region (Germany, Switzerland and Austria), Hansen already operates in the UK, Europe, and the Nordic region. Utility companies in Europe are transitioning to shorter meter-read periods and require scalable solutions to handle increasing data volumes efficiently.
BKW and Hansen have begun planning for the cloud-based deployment, aiming for a go-live in the first half of 2024.
