In our 6th episode of the “Data unplugged” podcast, the focus was on how to get data science projects into production and generate business value – quickly. In this episode, we were joined by Florian Scheibner, the Head of Data Science at NKD Group, one of the largest discount retailers in Europe.

The conversation covered a wide range of topics related to data science, including how to find projects worth exploring, defining the scope of a data science project, prioritizing projects based on their potential for business value, collaborating with business stakeholders to ensure alignment with business goals, and testing models before deploying them into production.

Florian also shared some common challenges that data science teams may face when deploying models into production, such as ensuring relevance and up-to-date data, and maintaining and updating models over time.
