Telekom Deutschland and Beyond Now, their current partner, have jointly launched a digital B2B2X marketplace. The platform, named Magenta B2B2X, is tailored to serve both enterprise clients and their customers. It’s built on the foundation of Beyond Now’s Infonova Digital Business Platform. The primary aim is to facilitate the digital procurement and exchange of services such as 5G, data analytics, AI, and more.

About the company

Deutsche Telekom Business Solutions, Telekom Deutschland’s enterprise services division, has always been at the forefront of digital transformation. Jörg Pommerening, holding a pivotal role in the company, envisions Magenta B2B2X as a “customisable, cloud-based marketplace for ICT products”. He emphasises the alignment of their vision with Infonova’s capabilities, highlighting their intent to drive forward the B2B2X digital transformation journey.

Interestingly, Magenta B2B2X was introduced in 2023. However, Pommerening’s LinkedIn suggests his leadership role began as early as January 2022. The platform was also showcased at the 2023 Ministerialkongress in Berlin, an event supported by Deutsche Telekom and organised by BearingPoint.

Beyond Now’s independence journey started in 2021, detaching from BearingPoint through a management buyout.

Platform features

Telekom Deutschland lists several advantages of the new platform:

  • Enhanced time-to-market with automated B2B service operations.
  • Comprehensive technical integration from purchase to service administration.
  • Tailored product suggestions enhancing customer experience.
  • Complete digital transformation of Telekom Deutschland’s product suite.
  • Simplified customer system integrations via standardised APIs.
  • Accommodating intricate customer organisational frameworks.

Catalyst for digital growth

Deutsche Telekom’s partnership with BearingPoint in the B2B2X domain can be traced back to 2019. The collaboration explored digital transformation avenues in traditional industries. The initiative primarily focussed on creating frictionless B2B2X trading ecosystems. This endeavour secured the Outstanding Catalyst for Innovation award.

Beyond Now, established in 2018 under BearingPoint’s banner, leveraged Infonova’s technological groundwork. Founded in 1989 and acquired by BearingPoint in 2005, Infonova’s legacy has been pivotal. Today, Beyond Now prides itself on being a digital platform and ecosystem orchestrator.
